The vineyard’s terroirs and the characteristics they bring to the wines
The "caillottes" : makes up one third of the estate’s soil type.
This is a limestone soil, which gives fruity, aromatic wines that are full of flavour and can be enjoyed even when young.
The "terres blanches" : white soils that make up two thirds of the estate’s soil type.
This is a mix of limestone and clay (kimmeridgian marls),
which gives bigger style, opulent wines and requires more time to open up and develop their complex aromas and flavours.
80% of our vines are on slopes of 10% to 40%.
The diversity of our micro-terroirs is exceptional and unique in the world for the production of Sauvignon Blanc.
